A fresh Xiaomi smartphone dubbed Jerr has been spotted in benchmarks tipping that another device might be on the cards. The stated Xiaomi Jason has recently been spotted on GFXBench standard, and is also believed to be a variant of the flagship Xiaomi Mi six, called the Mi 6c.
The Chinese company has in the past launched different variants of the flagship smartphone in a variety of market segments. Some of the prior flagship variants include Xiaomi Mi 4c and Xiaomi Mi 5c among others.
One of the biggest highlights of the new alleged Xiaomi Jason otherwise known as Mi 6c is said to be the brand new Snapdragon 660 processor and the smartphone could very well be one of the primary few devices sporting the new chipset. Announced earlier this month, the all-new Snapdragon 660 mobile platform is dependent on a 14nm FinFET process and provides 4K movie capture and playback features, along with 8GB maximum memory and Vulkan API support. According to the leaked benchmark, the alleged Xiaomi Jason aka Xiaomi Mi 6c will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2. 2GHz coupled with 6GB RAM and will pack 64GB on-board storage. The smartphone can be seen featuring a 5. 1-inch full-HD display and run MIUI based on Android 7. 1. just one Nougat. Within the camera front, the alleged Jason device is said to activity a 12-megapixel rear camera alongside a 4-megapixel front side camera. It's worth aiming out that the supposed Xiaomi Jason could very well launch with a different name. The GFXBench listing was first discovered by GizmoChina.
Xiaomi is yet to announce a launch date for their flagship Mi 6 in India though if the company's India chief Manu Kumar Jain is believed then it could be announced in July. We, however, have to wait for the recognized confirmation on the release of Mi 6 from Xiaomi.
